Zook dedicated to reviving Illini program

Despite the numerous obstacles facing the Illini, Ron Zook is basking in the warmth at Illinois.

Ron Zook spent a large chunk of a recent 16-hour workday sending text messages to recruits and their high school coaches.

"Recruiting is forever," he explained. "You have to do it all the time."

But that's only part of Zook's agenda at Illinois, which hired him in December to renovate a program that had fallen into disrepair.
