Oregon's offense undergoes drastic changes

The only thing that apparently won't be a part of Oregon's offense this fall is eye of newt, which is surprising because coach Mike Bellotti and his new offensive coordinator Gary Crowton almost sound as though they are cackling over a cauldron when they talk about their new scheme.

It's going to be a spread ... with option elements ... that uses one back or two ... and two tight ends or four receivers ... with some shotgun. The quarterbacks will use their mobility and throw short ... and long. There will be dashes of Texas Tech, BYU, Utah and Boise State. Oh, and Oregon.
