The Heisman Predictor: Week 9
Colt McCoy finally tops the list, but a weak remaining schedule may hurt him
The calendar just turned to November, and for the first time all season there is a new name sitting atop the Heisman Predictor standings. By this time last year, Colt McCoy, Graham Harrell, Chase Daniel and Mark Sanchez had each had a turn in the top spot.
This year, McCoy has been in the top three all season, but he finally makes his move up to No. 1 thanks to Texas' BCS rank. Now that Texas has cleared what should be its last hurdle -- Oklahoma State -- the Longhorns should cruise into the national title game, which will guarantee McCoy an invite to New York.
McCoy's spot at the top, however, is far from a guarantee.
