Mark Ingram becomes a favorite, while Colt McCoy and Jimmy Clausen fade
Complain about it all you want, but the BCS still rules college football. It helps decide our national champion and it even helps decide the Heisman Trophy winner.
In five of the past six seasons, the Heisman winner went on to play in the BCS National Championship Game. So, as expected, the release of the first BCS standings has shaken up the Heisman Predictor. While Florida QB Tim Tebow remains in the top spot as expected, the release of the BCS standings has both pushed a relatively unknown player into the spotlight and shown us that Texas QB Colt McCoy's chances might be fading away.
