It would have been easy for Rich Brooks to note all the reasons he had to worry going into the 2008 season. Despite back-to-back bowl wins, UK lost four offensive players -- quarterback Andre Woodson, tight end Jacob Tamme, and receivers Keenan Burton and Steve Johnson -- that were picked in the NFL draft. Two other talented Cats -- versatile running back Rafael Little and linebacker Wesley Woodyard (the team's leading tackler three straight years) -- signed free agent contracts. While that kind of talent might depart some Southeastern Conference teams annually, it doesn't happen in the Bluegrass very often. Yet rather than poor-mouth his team's 2008 chances, Brooks proclaimed after last year's Music City Bowl win that he thought the Cats could go back to postseason play again this season. When spring practice started, he said he would be "very disappointed" if UK was not in a bowl game.
