COACH AND PROGRAM
After following consecutive six-win seasons with a more modest three victories, it's fair to say Louisiana-Lafayette took a step backward in 2007. Then again, given the state of the program when head coach Rickey Bustle arrived, the notion that a .500 season seemed in reach should be considered a major accomplishment.
