SEC could have as many as 11 bowl-eligible teams

It wasn't too long ago that the Southeastern Conference didn't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fulfill all eight of its bowl contracts.

In fact, the SEC had a three-year contract with the bowl in Houston now known as the Texas Bowl, and never had an eligible representative.
