Mountaineers hoping to contain Louisville's high-powered offense

West Virginia has improved from an embarrassing 109th against the pass last season to fourth this season, allowing 82 fewer yards per game.

Now we'll see if the Mountaineers can stop star quarterback Brian Brohm, who brings his Louisville Cardinals (5-4 overall, 2-2 Big East) to Milan Puskar Stadium on Thursday night (ESPN, 7:30 p.m. ET) for a Big East showdown.

West Virginia (7-1, 2-1) is ranked seventh in the Bowl Championship Series standings.
