Tough stretch for BC begins with visit to Va. Tech

Don't blame Boston College. All the Eagles have done is win.
But that collective "Yeah, right" smirk is a popular look these days in college football circles when you bring up the Eagles' chances of winning a national championship.
It doesn't seem to matter that they're unbeaten or that they're No. 2 this week in the BCS standings or that they have one of the most polished quarterbacks in the country in senior Matt Ryan. Quietly, Ryan has played his way into serious Heisman Trophy contention with an Atlantic Coast Conference-leading 2,148 passing yards and 17 touchdowns.
