After playing brilliantly while leading his second double-digit comeback of the season, it's fair to say that Arizona State quarterback Rudy Carpenter has dispelled any questions about his mental toughness.
Last season, he seemed to press or overthink when things turned sour. Not so this season. He completed 25 of 36 passes for 361 yards with four touchdowns, and he didn't let a furious Oregon State pass rush, which sacked him four times, get into his head. In fact, he showed scrambling savvy that coach Dennis Erickson hadn't seen before.
