While it's always possible Arkansas coach Houston Nutt's critics have created a sense of havoc and uncertainty that could hurt the Razorbacks this season, it's also possible those critics may have done a lot more to help Nutt, his coaches and his players than they could possibly imagine.
A team without leaders or a sense of direction might buckle under the weight of rumors and controversy. A team with leaders and the experience and confidence that comes from winning the SEC Western Division championship might just pull together like never before and decide it's "us against the world."
That's what appears to be happening at Arkansas after several months of bombardment that had little to do with anything happening on the practice field or in the weight room.
