The hiring of Butch Davis to replace John Bunting at North Carolina has its pros and cons.

Certainly, Davis knows talent. He recruited loads of it at Miami.

In fact, one could argue that no college football team in history was more talented than the 2001 Hurricanes, which started 12 first-round draft choices among the 22 players who opened the national title game against Nebraska in the Rose Bowl. Larry Coker coached that Miami team, but Davis recruited all its players.
