Louisville not a strong No. 3 vs. one-loss teams

Two weeks ago, it was USC's loss that opened the door for several once-beaten teams to re-enter the national championship hunt.

West Virginia's loss to Louisville last week may have given those teams more reason to dream.

As expected, Louisville took over West Virginia's spot at No. 3 in this week's BCS standings, but the Cardinals aren't nearly as strong of a No. 3 as the Mountaineers were. WVU was more than one point per voter ahead of the top one-loss team (Texas) in the polls last week, while UL is in a virtual tie with the Longhorns in both polls this week. It's clear that the Cards still have plenty of skeptics.
