BCS field offically wide open after USC loss

Let the race begin!
USC's loss to Oregon State greatly improved the national title chances of as many as 10 teams, while also opening the door to the possibility that the Michigan-Ohio State loser might not be out of the race either. Even USC is still very much alive.
It should all make for an interesting November, and the fun begins immediately. BCS No. 3 West Virginia meets No. 5 Louisville on Thursday (ESPN, 7:30 p.m. ET) in a game that could vault the winner into prime position for a berth in the BCS national championship game.
