Colorado coach Dan Hawkins didn't expect to get a ride off the field after his first victory with the Buffaloes. But snapping a 10-game losing streak -- tied for the longest in school history -- put Colorado fans in a celebratory mood after the Buffaloes' 30-6 triumph over Texas Tech.

The victory will enable Hawkins to change his coaching theme as the Buffaloes prepare for a visit to Oklahoma this week.

"I get to be a little creative," Hawkins said. "Instead of being Zig Zigler, I get to be Vince Lombardi for a week. So it probably means for me, they're going to ask, 'How many more motivational ploys does this guy have up his sleeve here?' And I would've found some more."
