Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson has moved himself into contention for the Heisman Trophy with two gutsy and spectacular performances in his last two games.

Despite being limited in practice for several weeks because of a left thigh injury, Johnson has combined to catch 12 catches for 280 yards and four touchdowns in victories against Virginia and Virginia Tech.

That included a six-catch, 115-yard, two-touchdown outing in the Yellow Jackets' surprising 38-27 victory over the Hokies in Blacksburg, Va. last Saturday.
