A quote from USF football coach Jim Leavitt, in anticipation of Friday's game against visiting Rutgers (ESPN2, 8 p.m. ET), says a lot about the state of the once-sorry Scarlet Knights football program.
"You get schools like Rutgers coming in," Leavitt said, "that's pretty big."
Such a comment would have drawn gales of laughter as recently as two years ago, but these are heady times in Piscataway, N.J.
