Team preview: Baylor

COACH AND PROGRAM
Guy Morriss took over perhaps the toughest job in college football when he signed on as Baylor's head coach in 2003. As long as there had been a Big 12, the Bears had resided in the cellar. In the conference's first 10 seasons, they have won a mere eight league games and lost 72. Baylor has never beaten five of the 12 teams in Big 12 competition, and has beaten only one -- Kansas -- more than once in conference play. From that perspective, the Bears' 5-6 season in 2005, one victory away from bowl bid, can be viewed as a triumph for a downtrodden program that no longer seems quite so trodden down.
