The opportunity is there every week. Some players seize it. Others let it slide away. Here's a look at the players (and coaches) who shined or slipped in Week 9:
1. Ohio State QB Todd Boeckman
Boeckman is emerging as far more than a caretaker in the Ohio State offense. His composure within the pocket and ability to throw the ball to a spot before a wide receiver makes his break were two big reasons for Ohio State's offensive success at Penn State on Saturday night. The first-year starter completed 19 of 26 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns. After watching Boeckman from field level, there's no question in my mind he is capable of leading the Buckeyes to an undefeated regular season.
Ohio State's Todd Boeckman showed plenty of poise against Penn State, thanks in large part to OL Alex Boone neutralizing DE Maurice Evans, writes Todd McShay in his weekly stock report.
