Wondering what kind of impact is being made by this year's freshmen? Look no further than the Division I-A national player rankings. A freshman currently leads the nation in passing efficiency (Sam Bradford), receptions and receiving yards per game (Michael Crabtree), interceptions per game (Tavious Polo) and field goal percentage (Thomas Weber).

Regular-season finales are rapidly approaching, making it an appropriate time to recognize some of college football's brightest young stars. The following is my take on the 10 freshmen (true and redshirt) who have shined the most thus far:
