The opportunity is there every Saturday. Some players seize it. Others let it slide away. Here's a look at the players (and coaches) who shined or slipped in Week 4:
1. Syracuse QB Andrew Robinson
Syracuse's sophomore quarterback executed an aggressive -- and highly uncharacteristic -- game plan in the stunning upset of Louisville on Saturday. Robinson stood tough in the pocket and made accurate throws on several deep-ball attempts. He finished the afternoon with 423 yards and four touchdowns on just 17 completions. Robinson also was aided by a monster performance from senior WR Taj Smith, who hauled in four passes for 173 yards and two scores.
Coach Greg Robinson and his staff deserve much credit for their outstanding preparation, and their players should be applauded for a tremendous effort. Needless to say, this is a much needed shot of confidence for Robinson's team and it should help in recruiting moving forward.
If Syracuse quarterback Andrew Robinson is topping the stock up list, it's only fair that the Louisville coaching staff heads the stock down gang, writes Todd McShay in his weekly stock report.
