Young QBs prove worth with strong performances

There were many standouts in Appalachian State's unthinkable upset of Michigan on Saturday, but no individual's performance was more significant than Edwards'. The sophomore quarterback threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns, also rushing for another 67 yards and a score. What impressed me most, though, was Edwards' poise under the circumstances. Think about it; Edwards was making just his 14th career start in the jam-packed Big House versus the fifth-ranked team in the country. Now that's moxie.
