Irons, Russell shine in Week 11

RB Kenny Irons and QB JaMarcus Russell are on the rise this week, but Jared Zabransky has taken a hit.

The opportunity is there every Saturday. Some players seize it. Others let it slide away. Here's a look at the players who shined or slipped in Week 10:

Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn
Irons has emerged as one of the toughest, most powerful runners in college football this season. The South Carolina transfer was splitting carries early this season but has not looked back since his breakout performance against Arkansas last month. Irons has averaged 156.6 yards on 30.4 carries since Oct. 15. The junior's impressive 179-yard, two-touchdown performance "Between the Hedges" Saturday night propelled the Tigers to a 31-30 victory over SEC East-leading Georgia.
