It was naturally assumed at the end of last season that Keiland Williams would be LSU's feature back in 2008. Working as the primary backup to then senior Jacob Hester, he averaged a very impressive 6.8 yards per carry.

But when the 2008 campaign got under way, it was a fellow junior, Charles Scott, whose name would end up being No. 1 on the depth chart. Without much in the way of notoriety, he actually had the best yards-per-carry average (7.2) of all LSU's running backs in 2007.
