Notre Dame's Carlson ready to put senior season behind him
Notre Dame couldn't throw the ball in 2007, so tight end John Carlson wasn't much of a factor last season. However, he'll have a chance to show just how good he is at the NFL combine.
Tommy Blake, DE, TCU: He needs a big combine performance. Blake was highly regarded coming into 2007 before he left the team for personal reasons and then returned. But he was carrying much too weight late in the season. He needs his weight down around 250 pounds, and has to show the athleticism and pass-rush potential that made him such a dominant player before this season. Also, the interview process will be important for Blake; he'll have to answer questions about a tumultuous senior season.
