The 2007 season is here and my weekly picks are back. The only thing trickier than the picking bowl winners is the opening two weeks of the season because even the coaches don't have a great read on what many of their new starters are going to do. Last year I went 105-84-6 during the regular season. Now on to the selections:
Thursday, Aug. 30
LSU 30, Mississippi State 14: The Bulldogs do have some talent that should shine on the primetime stage, especially DE Titus Brown, who is one of the top pass-rushers in the South. MSU TB Anthony Dixon also is a load and will give the Bulldogs some punch, but ultimately the Tigers' D-line will take over in the second half and LSU's speed will break some big returns against what was last season's worst coverage unit in the SEC.
