Alabama at Florida

Two talented defenses square off when Alabama travels to Florida in Week 5.

Alabama offense vs. Florida defense
• The Crimson Tide ran for 197 yards this past week against Arkansas, but much of the credit goes to RBs Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy for making yards despite an offensive line that didn't create much movement and struggled to cut off linebackers at the second level. The Alabama line must play with better pad level and awareness against the Gators, though. Florida's defensive line is underrated with a nice combination of size and athleticism, led by DTs Dominique Easley and Jaye Howard. At the second level, MLB Jonathan Bostic and WLB Jelani Jenkins are active and rangy playmakers who the Tide cannot afford to let roam free. On the flip side, Bostic, Jenkins and the rest of the back seven must do a great job of breaking down and gang tackling against the relentless combo of Richardson and Lacy, who have been able to wear down opposing defenses.
