Florida State at Clemson

A battered Florida State team heads to Clemson in Week 4 for a matchup with an emotional Tigers squad.

Florida State offense vs. Clemson defense
• Seminoles QB E.J. Manuel is day-to-day with a shoulder injury suffered last week against Oklahoma, when redshirt freshman Clint Trickett stepped in and threw a game-tying touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter. Manuel moves better in the pocket and is more of a threat on designed keepers and read-option plays, though Trickett has flashed better accuracy on short-to-intermediate throws in the limited action hes seen. Both can lose the strike zone, especially on deeper throws, but Clemson cannot underestimate the FSU passing game no matter who's behind center. Florida State has no shortage of weapons and WRs Bert Reed, Rashad Greene and Rodney Smith will present matchup problems for the Tigers in spread sets.
