Missouri vs. Iowa
The Insight Bowl features an explosive Missouri offense squaring off with an Iowa defense that is talented but lacks depth.
Missouri offense vs. Iowa defense
• QB Blaine Gabbert played a bigger role in the ground game late in the season, and while Gabbert isn't an elusive runner he is deceptively quick and can rip off chunks of yards when he gets a seam. He will make Iowa pay if it doesn't respect designed quarterback keepers or him keeping the ball on read-options. Tigers RB De'Vion Moore is undersized and hides behind his blockers, showing good burst when he sees daylight. Moore and Gabbert run behind an experienced offensive line anchored by C Tim Barnes, but the Tigers will be overmatched in the trenches. Iowa's run defense has been one of the best in the FCS thanks in large part to a line that features RDE Adrian Clayborn. The 285-pound Clayborn and 297-pound fellow end Christian Ballard have the bulk and power to set the edge while DTs Mike Daniels and Karl Klug make up for their lack of ideal size with quick feet and hands.
