Oregon at Oregon State

Oregon and Oregon State are headed in opposite directions as they prepare for their annual Civil War showdown.

Oregon offense vs. Oregon State defense
• The Beavers are hurting along the defensive front seven and that's bad news against Oregon's potent ground game. Oregon State DT Brennan Olander (shoulder) is likely out and SLB Keith Pankey (ankle) is questionable, and while DT Stephen Paea has the short-area power to cause problems he can't stop the Ducks' spread running game on his own. Oregon will spread the Beavers horizontally and force their linebackers, who lack elite athleticism and range, to play in space. The Ducks also get backup RB Kenjon Barner back from injury this week and he, RB RB LaMichael James and QB Darron Thomas all have the ability to exploit the creases Oregon's complicated zone-read option will open up.
