Ohio State at Iowa

Ohio State looks to keep its Big Ten title hopes alive in Week 12 against an Iowa team coming off a tough loss at Northwestern.

Ohio State offense vs. Iowa defense
The Buckeyes have had success running the football out of their version of the Pistol formation. In addition to the typical Pistol look with a running back 3 yards behind the quarterback, who is in shallow shotgun, they also offset a fullback/H-back to the right or left of QB Terrelle Pryor. Zach Boren usually plays the FB/H-back role because he does a terrific job as a lead blocker, and RB Dan Herron does a great job reading his blocks and exploding up the field on draws and isolation plays out of this formation. Ohio State should find success out of this set against an Iowa defensive line that likes to do a lot of stunting and twisting.
