Florida State at Miami (FL)

Florida State and Miami are seeking a return to their glory days as they meet in prime time in Week 6.

Florida State offense vs. Miami defense
• Miami's pass rush is suffocating. Defensive coordinator John Lovett is using twists and stunts to keep opposing offensive linemen on their heels and is taking advantage of a front four that generates pressure without consistent help from the blitz. DE Allen Bailey is the group's most complete lineman and has been disruptive in every game despite facing frequent double-team attention. His combination of size, quickness and power present problems for Seminoles ROT Zebrie Sanders and ROG David Spurlock. Miami rotates three players -- Andrew Smith (four sacks), Olivier Vernon (four) and Adewale Ojomo (two) -- at right defensive end, and all are capable of creating problems for Florida State's other linemen. If the Hurricanes can create consistent pressure against the Seminoles' veteran O-line, it will force QB Christian Ponder to make accurate throws into tight windows versus eight defenders in coverage.
