Miami (FL) at Pittsburgh
Miami is in for a fight when it travels to Pittsburgh in Week 4.
Miami offense vs. Pittsburgh defense
• RB Graig Cooper missed the Ohio State game with a knee injury and is not listed on the depth chart, but if he is unable to play, fellow RBs Damien Berry, Mike James and Lamar Miller are more than capable of carrying the load against a Pittsburgh front seven in disarray. Panthers coach Dave Wannstedt demoted leading tackler MLB Dan Mason to the second team for his involvement in an off-the-field incident, and Max Gruder is expected to move over from the strong side to replace Mason, which will shuffle all three linebacker spots. Also, standout RDE Greg Romeus is out of the lineup after undergoing back surgery. Miami offensive coordinator Mark Whipple will test Pittsburgh's gap discipline with formation shifts and motion, and if the linebackers don't make sound adjustments to the movement, it will create seams for the Hurricanes' backs. He also will likely run at backup RDE Brandon Lindsey, who gives up more than 60 pounds to impressive drive-blocking Miami ROT Orlando Franklin.
