Florida at Tennessee

Both Florida and Tennessee come into their Week 3 matchup trying to establish an offensive identity.

Florida offense vs. Tennessee defense
• There are a handful of reasons for Florida's offensive struggles to this point, but the two biggest issues we see on tape are breakdowns along the offensive line and inconsistent quarterback play from John Brantley. The communication up front should improve, though, as the linemen become more accustomed to playing as a unit. There were a few assignment breakdowns last week and LOG Carl Johnson, who was playing in his first game of the season after serving a one-game suspension, looked rusty in the first half. As this group continues to improve, Brantley should become more comfortable in the pocket. Getting Brantley off to a fast start versus Tennessee is important because he really did not settle down last week until the fourth offensive possession, which was midway through the second quarter. Expect offensive coordinator Steve Addazio to focus on building Brantley's confidence early on with quick slants and outs as well as some screen passes.
