Florida State offense vs. Florida defense

• Redshirt freshman QB E.J. Manuel has played well enough to lead the Seminoles to wins in his first two starts and has a great deal of upside, but his inexperience is showing at times. He appears to put too much faith in his arm strength and is still learning how to read defenses. Either way, he's throwing into coverage too often, and it's critical that he make better decisions against an opportunistic Florida pass defense that fields playmakers at the second and third levels. MLB Brandon Spikes anchors a linebacker corps that shows good instincts in coverage, while CB Joe Haden headlines a secondary that plays the ball well.
