Forsett, Stanton keep climbing the charts
Someone might want to whisper in Marshawn Lynch's ear the age-old story of Lou Gehrig and Wally Pipp. Apparently, it's an anecdote not lost on Forsett. Forsett's 235 rushing yards versus New Mexico State Friday night helps dispel the notion that Forsett's debut performance -- 187 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries versus Illinois -- was a fluke. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound sophomore is a tough runner with an impressive mix of quickness, body control and acceleration. After watching Forsett rush for 422 yards in the last two games, Lynch's finger may make a miraculous recovery for Saturday's home game versus Arizona. Even when Lynch does return, expect the two backs to split carries in Cal's balanced offensive attack.
