Allen's injury will have impact at cornerback

One of the surprise teams in college football this season has been Colorado. The Buffaloes are ranked No. 24 in the country heading into their big showdown Saturday at No. 2 Texas. Not only does CU have one of the best fullbacks in the country, Lawrence Vickers, but tight end Joe Klopfenstein is moving up the list among the top seniors at his position. Klopfenstein not only provides an offense with an ideal target in the hook zones but also has the speed to stretch the deep middle.
One player who suffered a major injury last week was Tennessee cornerback Jason Allen. One of the top seniors in the country, he suffered a season-ending hip injury on a play against Georgia's junior tight end Leonard Pope. Allen's injury status obviously will be a major factor in determining his final NFL grade.
