Volunteer state sports top two running backs

A look at Mel Kiper's top five senior NFL prospects at each position.

Ohio State's A.J. Hawk remains the best defensive senior prospect on the board, but he's getting pressure from another linebacker for the top spot. It's not Iowa's Chad Greenway; rather, Alabama's DeMeco Ryans. With yet another outstanding performance (15 tackles, two stops behind the line of scrimmage and one sack against Arkansas), Ryans and the Crimson Tide are 4-0 for the first time since 1996. On offense, Memphis running back DeAngelo Williams posted his second straight 200-yard performance while Tennessee's Gerald Riggs Jr. had an impressive showing in the Volunteers' overtime win at LSU. He has the toughness and aggressive style to run between the tackles, yet displays the necessary quickness to bounce outside and turn the corner.
