Memphis running back DeAngelo Williams may have dropped on Mel's Big Board, but not for the reason you might think.

The Big Board has changed a lot in large part to some impressive first-week performances. What you see here is reflective of week-to-week action which is why the board is very fluid, as evidenced by eight new names on in the Top 25.

Maryland linebacker D'Qwell Jackson had a great effort against Navy last week, while UTEP LB Thomas Howard was phenomenal against New Mexico. D'Angelo Williams dropped a little bit, but keep in mind Memphis lost its quarterback in the first series against Ole Miss and the offensive line didn't do a good job of moving defenders off the line. Williams rushing total might be down this year but that has nothing to do with his ability.
