Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) quarterback Max Wittek has seen his stock skyrocket over the last month or so. The talented signal-caller has quickly become a national recruit and will head north this weekend to check out one of his recent offers. Wittek had the unenviable task of following in the footsteps of one of the best quarterbacks in Orange County history -- USC freshman Matt Barkley. The signal-caller got off to a slow start as a junior in 2009, but as the season progressed, his talent started to shine and no quarterback out West has as much upside as Wittek. North Carolina was the first to offer jumping on board midway through his junior season. Just a few weeks ago, Florida became offer No. 2 and now he's nearly at double-digit offers.
