There isn't a more aggressive school out West right now, in terms of offering players from the class of 2011, than the Washington Huskies. The Huskies have been especially active in Southern California and were the first to offer linebacker Matthew Lyons (Los Angeles/Dorsey) . The 6-foot-2, 190 pounder is an active player who earned all-city honors last season. He has the size to bulk up and play as a weakside linebacker and the athleticism to play safety at the next level. "I was very excited to get my first offer and have it be from a big-time Pac-10 school, like Washington," Lyons said. "My mom had just asked me the other day what schools was I most interested in and I told Washington was very high on my list.
