Washington impressed with Texas Tech

Junior athlete DeAndre Washington (Missouri City, Texas/Thurgood Marshall) picked up his fourth offer on Saturday during a visit to Texas Tech. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound quick-running back and return man picked up the offer from Red Raiders head coach Tommy Tuberville. "Man, it was an amazing visit," said Washington. "Before going to Tech, I thought they would be just a passing team. The coaches showed how they would use me at running back in their offense and they ran the ball a lot in their scrimmage Saturday. At the end of the day, coach Tuberville called me into his office and that is when he offered me. He also told me how they wanted to use me in their offense. He's a down to earth guy." The offer from the Red Raiders followed offers from Tulsa, Baylor and Colorado with Arkansas closing in on being the fifth.
