The resurgence at New Orleans St. Augustine will continue in 2010 after a successful season in 2009 that included a playoff appearance. The reason for the lofty goals headed into the 2010 season will be the return of several FBS prospects, along with some top young talent. Seven junior prospects have already received offers, but the headliner of the junior class is safety Renaldo Thomas (New Orleans/St. Augustine). The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder is one of the top prospects in the state and has received offers from LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Colorado, SMU and Tulane. Receivers Marc Edwards and Robert Ricard have quickly emerged as two of the top receiver prospects in the state. The 6-1, 175-pound Edwards has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Colorado and Tulane, while Ricard has been offered by Mississippi State, SMU and Tulane.
