Defensive end Deion Barnes (Philadelphia/Northeast) made an unofficial visit to Michigan during the weekend and came away with an offer from the Wolverines, who have a recent history of landing players from his high school. "I got to meet all of the coaches and [Michigan head coach] Rich Rodriguez," Barnes said. "He shook my hand and told me that I had an offer and that an offer from Michigan was in the mail." Barnes got the chance to watch the Wolverines' spring game. His former teammate, receiver Je'Ron Stokes, plays at Michigan.
