ESPNU 150 defensive tackle Jarron Jones from the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, N.Y., committed to Notre Dame on Monday night. Jones, ranked as the second-best player in New York, announced the decision on his Twitter page. "I'm taking my talents to #southbend," he wrote. Jones (6-foot-6, 295 pounds) committed to Penn State back in April before withdrawing his commitment in early June and was considered a Notre Dame lean since decommitting from the Nittany Lions. The Fighting Irish now have 14 commitments in their 2012 class. Also committed to the Irish is Warren Central (Indianapolis) defensive tackle and fellow ESPNU 150 player Sheldon Day, giving the Irish one of the top defensive tackle tandems in the Class of 2012.
