Three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward defensive end Darryl Render has verbally committed to Pittsburgh, he confirmed in a text message to ESPN.com.
"Yea, I committed to Pitt," he said.
Pittsburgh now has 13 commitments for its 2012 class, and its second commitment along the defensive line. Three-star tackle Myles Hilliard of Bedford, Ohio, is also on board.
