Defensive end Theiren Cockran (Homestead, Fla./Homestead) had an official visit with Northern Illinois University this past weekend and came away impressed.

"I had a great time at NIU," said the 6-foot-6, 210-pounder. "I really liked the new coach (Dave Doeren) and the rest of the coaches answered all my questions. I was offered a scholarship on my visit and I will be making my decision as to which school I'll be signing with right around signing day. I'll sit down with my parents to decide which school is the best for me. I've already visited Marshall and Western Michigan and liked those schools as well."
