Nothing like getting ahead. That's exactly what Jimbo Fisher and Florida State are doing in the recruiting wars for next season, as the Seminoles landed one of the top defensive backs from the Sunshine State in the Class of 2013 in Sojourn Shelton (Plantation, Fla./Plantation). "I live in south Florida and down there many kids dream of playing for Miami or FSU," Shelton said. "My family is divided between the two schools, but I have always been an FSU fan. So I have the opportunity to go to school there and play football and I took it." Shelton, 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds, first camped at Florida State last summer before his sophomore season. It was there he caught the attention of the Seminoles coaching staff.
