Quarterback Patton Robinette (Maryville, Tenn./Maryville) committed to North Carolina on Wednesday over Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Purdue and others. "I just had a really strong feeling about North Carolina," said Robinette. "Their academics and tradition are incredible and I love the community. Coach [Butch] Davis, coach [John] Shoop and the other coaches there are all outstanding coaches and guys. Really, it's the best fit for me. "I visited a bunch of schools like FSU, Clemson, Georgia, Wake Forest, Northwestern and Vandy," Robinette said. "And it was just a great experience for me. I had an opportunity to visit some of the greatest schools in the country. Along the way I met with some super people and coaches. My family kept me grounded and this was my decision."
