The Mississippi State Bulldogs picked up their sixth commitment for their 2012 recruiting class on Tuesday from Torrey Bell (River Ridge, La./John Curtis). Bell, 6-feet-5 and 230 pounds, is light for a defensive end, but his high school head coach says not to worry. "Torrey will probably play his college football at 260 pounds or so," J.T. Curtis said. "He's big and very athletic. He plays the post for our basketball team. Torrey will grow into what you want. He's just a tremendous athlete off the edge. I know at his size he ran a 4.7 40 at Mississippi State's camp. He can move now." Bell picked the Bulldogs over LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Southern Miss, Tulane and Colorado. His decision caught Curtis a little off guard. "He loves coach (Dan) Mullen," Curtis said. "He loves his philosophy and the direction of the program. I know he didn't want to rush his decision but at the same time he wanted to put it behind him. So I am a little surprised he committed when he did. But he loves Mullen and that program. He loved the campus. After going there, meeting Coach Mullen and his staff, he knew exactly what he wanted to do."
